Dynamic pricing
For: risk, senior credit, and product owners who set offer bands.
Not for: casual rate promises to customers without policy cover.
In Decision PRO: Dynamic pricing (role-gated).
What this is
Dynamic pricing proposes or calculates interest rate offers (or rate bands) from risk inputs and bank policy, including regulatory ceilings where the product references supervisory ranges (for example NBE-aligned bands in Ethiopian deployments).
Why it matters
- Ties price to risk and rules your committee approved.
- Reduces ad-hoc rate negotiation that bypasses policy.
- Surfaces warnings when an offer would breach caps or eligibility.
Inputs operators care about
- Risk grade / score band from scoring or policy.
- Tenor and amount requested.
- Collateral class and promotional flags (if used).
Outputs
- Recommended rate or band with reason text your bank approved for staff.
- Warnings when a rule blocks an offer-do not override without authorized policy.
What you do
- Confirm the applicant context matches the application you are pricing.
- Read warnings before communicating any number to a customer.
- Record the chosen offer in the loan file per SOP (application detail / disbursement checks-confirm handoff in your tenant).
When to escalate
- System suggests a rate outside your published product sheet.
- Regulatory or policy warning you cannot clear with documented authority.
- Channel (Akafay) shows a different offer than Decision PRO-raise with AIS and your product owner.
